Healthy Summery Drink
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 mini watermelon
6 tsp maple syrup
Sparkling water
Pink Himalayan salt
1 lime
Method:
Cut the watermelon into slices, and then cut the pink flesh out of the rind (in cubes). Juice the watermelon flesh till completely liquid. With a siv, strain the watermelon juice, and pour the strained part into a few ice trays (I used this one). Leave it in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours (or overnight). Leave your glasses in the freezer if you’d like it to be cold when you serve the drink.
Sprinkle pink himalayan salt into a plate. Wet the edges of the glass and roll it onto the salt. Add some normal ice cubes to the bottom of each glass, 3 tsp maple syrup, the juice of half a lime, 2 watermelon ice cube balls, and top it all with sparkling water. Cut 2 slices of lime and add to the edge of each glass.
This drink is incredibly refreshing. If you’d like to make it alcoholic, add a shot of tequila.
Must be enjoyed in the sunshine.
